Properties after a fly-by

For extreme cases, there is no data available.
As part of the Fine Parameter Study, we have simulated the effect of a stellar fly-by on a protoplanetary disk. The fly-by is modeled as a perturber star passing by the host star and disk. A range of different model parameters can be selected below. From the respective simulation data, scatter plots and histograms are generated. The data of the Fine Parameter Study can be downloaded here.
To evaluate our results, we have compared them to the observed properties of the known Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs). The data of the TNOs can be downloaded from the Minor Planet Center: distant_extended.json.gz (Accessed on 2024/05/04 12:37)
